JJ Sutherland is CEO of Scrum Inc., where he partners with senior leaders to redesign operating models, drive enterprise agility, and lead organizational change at scale. His work focuses on turning Agile from a team-level practice into a system for strategy execution, faster decision-making, and measurable outcomes.

Before Scrum Inc., JJ spent more than a decade as an award-winning National Public Radio correspondent and producer, reporting from conflict zones and global capitals—from Baghdad to Tokyo—where he developed a deep understanding of complexity, risk, and leadership under pressure.

JJ is the author of The Scrum Fieldbook and co-author of the international bestseller Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time. He also hosts The Agile CEO podcast, interviewing executives modernizing institutions—from Fortune 100 companies to mission-
critical government organizations—by changing how work gets done.
